Patrick Traynor, whose practice focuses exclusively in family law, has handled several hundreds of cases involving all facets of domestic relations law, including asset tracing, division of real and personal property, pre-marital agreements, spousal maintenance (alimony), child support, and rights to stock options and to private, military and other governmental employment, pension and retirement benefits.

Mr. Traynor was designated by the State Bar of Arizona as a Certified Specialist in Family Law. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the Past President of its Arizona Chapter. His activities include memberships on the State Bar of Arizona Family Law Advisory Committee, the Board of Directors of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Arizona, and serving as past Chairman of the Family Law Section of the Pima County Bar Association. In addition, for many years Mr. Traynor was the Reporter for Arizona for the Law in the 50 States issues of the Family Law Quarterly, a publication of the American Bar Association Family Law Section.

A frequent lecturer on various family law issues such as spousal maintenance, pension benefits, and stock option benefits, Mr. Traynor is a former Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force and is listed in The Best Lawyers In America for more than 10 years and he has been designated a Southwest SuperLawer. Since 1990, Mr. Traynor has served as a voluntary Judge Pro Tempore for the Pima County Superior Court in family law matters.
