Russell Jones has been practicing law in Tucson since 1950. He was a member of the Molloy Jones & Donahue law firm and predecessor firms prior to its merger with a Phoenix law firm in 1996. With extensive experience in utility, title insurance, real estate and construction law, as well as in transactional and business-commercial law, he has been Of Counsel with Waterfall Economidis since 1999 and is rated among the “Best Lawyers in America.”
Mr. Jones has tried many cases and has handled appellate cases before the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit, the Arizona Supreme Court and the Arizona Court of Appeals. He counsels many clients concerning the formation, management and operation of businesses in the areas of transportation, manufacturing, architecture, engineering, construction, real estate development, banking and finance.
In public utility law, Mr. Jones has represented numerous water utilities and a principal electric cooperative in Arizona, participating in many administrative proceedings, trials and appellate proceedings, including litigation that successfully blocked or delayed deregulation of the electric industry on state constitutional grounds.
