Steven J. Itkin

Prior to his admission to practice law in 1988, Steven Itkin was a licensed real estate agent and Realtor® in Southern Arizona. Since being admitted to practice, Mr. Itkin has represented purchasers and sellers in commercial and residential real estate transactions and in all aspects of landlord/tenant relationships. In addition to representing homeowners and condominium associations and handling matters relating to easements, deed restrictions, and general property rights, he works to create and enforce secured interests in real property.

Mr. Itkin has extensive experience in the area of creditors’ remedies and lien enforcement rights, including trustee’s sales, real property, and tax lien foreclosures, real property and civil forfeitures, replevins, attachments, garnishments, agricultural liens, and other creditors’ rights. He represents local, regional, and national lending institutions, as well as individual lenders and debt acquisition companies.

Mr. Itkin, who actively volunteers for the community and his profession, has served on the board of directors of United Cerebral Palsy of Southern Arizona since 1995 and is the agency’s current president.

In addition to providing sponsorship and volunteering for other non profit groups including Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Tucson, local non profit media and The Tucson Organic Gardeners, Mr. Itkin provides pro bono legal services through the Volunteer Lawyers Program, sponsored by Southern Arizona Legal Aid, Inc. The Volunteer Lawyers Program named him one of the Pro Bono Attorneys of the Year in 2008. Mr. Itkin also serves on the board of directors for the Rio Cancion Homeowners Association.
